Instantly everyone’s visions snapped over to the car, startled by the sudden loud noise. It took a moment for them to process the noise as the car alarm going off.
“Shit, that’s not good…” Tally muttered, looking around the street.
John stepped back from the car, “Do you think the infected will come to the noise?”
“I don’t know,” Zaid called over his shoulder as he started heading down the street, “But I’m not in the mood to find out. We need to find a usable car, and fast.”
Neon called from not far behind, “Guys, I see some zombies! They’re coming this way!”
“Hold them off, Neon,” Tally called, “We’re going to find a car!”
Neon pulled out his pistols, shooting at the zombies he could see appearing around the corners and coming from the alleyways. Zander, who had been walking with Neon and Amelia, pulled out his pistol and began shooting also. Though his aim wasn’t very good, he managed to take out a few of the infected. Amelia was standing behind Neon and Zander, clutching onto her teddy bear and not letting go.
More zombies filled the streets, seemingly attracted by the noise of the car alarm. “Come on guys, me and Zander aren’t going to be able to hold these off for much longer!”
Zaid yanked open a car door, “Come on, I found one!” He slipped into the drivers seat. Glancing around he spotted the key in the floor. He grabbed it and stuck it into the ignition, twisting it to turn on the car.
Everyone else made a dash for the car, Tally jumping into the passenger's seat and the four others squeezing into the back. John slammed the door closed, “All ready,” just as Zaid stepped on the gas.
